Help Build TheHoodGarden Outdoor Learning Space

I'm in- Take me to the sign-up!

We’re building something bigger than a garden.

Thanks to new grant funding, TheHoodGarden is transforming the backyard into an outdoor learning space where our community can gather, grow food, and learn together.

Before we can build it up, we’ve got to break it down—and that’s where you come in.

🌿 What We’ll Be Doing

  • Dismantling raised garden beds
  • Moving soil + weeding
  • Leveling the space for future builds
  • Learning a little about garden design along the way

This is hands-on, get-your-hands-dirty work—but it’s also the beginning of something meaningful.

📅 Volunteer Days

Saturday, May 23, 2026
Saturday, May 30, 2026

🕒 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
(Come when you can, stay as long as you’re able)

🍽️ Refreshments will be provided

🌧️ Rain dates will be the following Sundays if needed (May 24 & May 31)

💬 Why It Matters

This space will become a place where:

  • People learn how to grow their own food
  • Knowledge gets shared, not gatekept
  • Community gets built, not just talked about

If you’ve ever wanted to support the garden, this is your moment.
